About Elise

UPCOMING EVENTS

Elise Fabris is a performer and educator based in London.

She honed her musical theatre and comedy skills in her home town of Sydney, performing in musicals and revues and touring Australia with the Ten Sopranos, singing favourites of the Neapolitan and popular opera repertoire.

In 2006, Elise premiered David Bulmer’s award-winning monologue Doing it for the Penguins at The Seymour Centre as part of the prestigious OnStage Awards. A reprisal of her performance for ‘Short and Sweet’ won her the festival’s coveted ‘Best Actress’ award in 2011.

Elise performed in the original casts of Princess Cabaret and Dolls Cabaret at the Sydney Comedy Festival, The Melbourne Comedy Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe. In 2012 she played Rebecca Rigby in the UK premiere of The Hatpin with Lazarus Theatre Company before returning to Edinburgh and Brighton Fringe Festivals with The Big Bite Sized Breakfast Show in 2013.

After a hiatus from performing during which she had two children, Elise began to expand her work as an educator. She teaches singing, drama and voice work for actors from her home in North London. As a teacher, Elise is passionate about spreading the joy of music and performance. She teaches a variety of styles but has a particular affinity for musical theatre.

Elise is available for bookings as a singer for weddings, parties and events. She is a presenter on ITV’s ‘ShopOnTV’ bringing her flamboyant charm to the late night viewers.

She is currently working on an original show, A Girl You Should Know, an autobiographical cabaret exploring the struggles of competing with young blood and not quite fitting the older lady casting type. The show will include heart-wrenching ballads, light-hearted comedic songs and an uplifting narrative tale, and is set to premiere in late 2024.
