She honed her musical theatre and comedy skills in her home town of Sydney, performing in musicals and revues and touring Australia with the Ten Sopranos, singing favourites of the Neapolitan and popular opera repertoire.
In 2006, Elise premiered David Bulmer’s award-winning monologue Doing it for the Penguins at The Seymour Centre as part of the prestigious OnStage Awards. A reprisal of her performance for ‘Short and Sweet’ won her the festival’s coveted ‘Best Actress’ award in 2011.
Elise performed in the original casts of Princess Cabaret and Dolls Cabaret at the Sydney Comedy Festival, The Melbourne International Comedy Festival and the Edinburgh Fringe. In 2012 she played Rebecca Rigby in the UK premiere of The Hatpin with Lazarus Theatre Company before returning to Edinburgh and Brighton Fringe Festivals with The Big Bite Size Breakfast Show in 2013.

As a teacher, Elise is passionate about spreading the joy of music and performance. She teaches a variety of styles but has a particular affinity for musical theatre.
